1. Adjust Power Settings


By default most of the computers comes with a Power settings of Power Saver, Balanced High Performance.

To enable High Performance,


         1. Go the Start Menu.
         2. type '' Control Panel ''.
         3. Choose Control Panel from the row.
         4. Select Hardware and Sound.
         5. Choose Power Options.
         6. Press Additional Power Settings below the Related
             Settings.
         7. Create a Power Plan.
         8. Select High Performance.
 
Make sure to turn it off when you are performing high tasks such as Gaming and Watching High Definition videos as it might cause the computer to become hot.


2. Run For a Disk Check / Disk Cleanup


There will be temporary junk files, web pages and many other unnecessary files which may cause the Computer to slow down. These can be removed without causing any Performance hindrances.


For running a Disk Check / Cleanup, 


         1. Go to the Search Bar.
         2. type ''Disk Cleanup''.
         3. Select the drive.
         4. Select the files.
         5. Press Ok.
         6. Press Delete files.

If the Disk Check hangs in the middle of the Deleting process try running Disk Check as Administrator.


3. Save the Hard drive Space


If your Hard drive is filled with a lot of Applications making it almost full space this could also be one of the reasons for a slow computer. 

 

Hard drives today comes with various capacities range from 256 GB to 1 TB. Whatever the Capacity of Hard drive you are using it is always recommended to free up atleast 15 % of the Space.

        2. type ''resmon.exe''.
        3. Press Enter.

5. Stop Programs Running On Startup


As soon as you turn on the computer many programs will start to run on the Background, some may be useful some may be not.

        1. Go to the Search Bar.
        2. type '' msconfig ''.
        3. Choose Startup.
        4. Uncheck Programs that you don't need to run on Startup.


6. Delete Unused Languages


Windows is known for supporting multiple languages for the user. Depending upon the region the user's are free to select their comfortable language. 

 

But apart from the default language other languages typically takes up more space on the Hard drive. By Deleting these languages you can free up some space which may lead to a Performance boost.
 

To delete the unused languages,


        1. Go to the Start Menu.
        2. Settings Time and Language.
        3. Select Region and Language.
        4. Remove the Unnecessary languages.
